Wearing the Wrong School Uniform

By Ufiq Laila Hanim (XI IPA 4)

When the opening ceremony of new student acceptance or orientation began, something happened to me. It was embarrassing moment I thought.

One day I wore batik uniform. It was different uniform to other new students during the ceremony. I looked around, left and right side, in front of and behind me, all of them wore the same uniform but I didn’t. I felt embarrassed so I decided to go home and told my mother.

In the middle of ceremony, there were girls who jeered me in front of other students. It made me shy. I did not care them so I didn’t looked at them especially someone who accepted my love. His name was Lutfi.

He supported me because we were friend from junior high school. When I arrived at home, directly I told about my experience to my mother. My mother’s answer was simple. She said to keep praying and be patient.

Even though I was so embarrassed during that ceremony, I was patient and confidence. It is nice experience for me because I get lesson from this.
